Submitting an old drawing from my former account.
Made in 2005 as the signature shows
This is my main OC for my story, Sauska.
"She´s a warrior, a female Knight, the leader the Nara's army. Still young, but forced to grow by the circumstances, she takes her responsibilities very seriously, never thinking of herself as a woman. But in her journey, she will find out who she really is."
This was the one of the first portraits of her in a more realistic style instead of manga. And up until the date the only one that mostly shows her character, something which I have failed to capture again.
This was drawn on a very rough paper. And while the quality of the drawing could be more neat, I don't want to lose the texture. I'll rescan if I find it necessary myself.

I've just started to really sit and catch up on ALL these pretty things laying in my queue. I could really see this as something framed and proudly displayed on someone's wall (Mine, quite true).
Yes, perhaps its rough paper, but you claim it could be more `neat` yet lose texture? Go ahead, try again on a smoother medium, and just try to capture... everything, as it presents here. The set of her lips, how she holds her eyes, how her hair falls about her face. Her `Attitude`. Now, put them up side by side, swap them around, look at them in different kinds of light.
You're not done, yet.
Take them down... and hold them in yours hands. See how they feel under your fingers. And that is the difference.
With `her` up above, I could see myself placing a hand gently on her shoulder... tease the curls away from her neck and offer a simple kiss to an exposed nape.
No, take away the texture, and it would still lose something. IMHO
And, now, before I step away, I've just drifted through the various comments so far.
Even with reposting it was almost another 3 years before we'd see another interpretation of that style of headband.
Try "Batman v Superman" when Wonder Woman blocks the shot aimed at a crashed Batman. Could be either studded leaster or all metal. The band on her right arm is certainly metallic, but the breastplate could perhaps be instead a leather chest guard/corset.
Just took a few minutes to boot up "Gladiator" and rewatch the big fight against the chariots and their amazon (nubian?) archers.
She has day-wear, proper armour for campaigns (and even that will fall into types: siege/fixed battlegrounds, mobile/horse warfare, penetration/insertion (think ninjas or special forces), maybe some sea warfare?
And lastly, what does she prefer: Gladius or Mace, either of those with or without a shield? A close-in weapon, or a spear? And that can be changed up a bit. Spear, Javelin.. or Trident? The off hand...Shield, or cast Net?
Any Archery? Hell, don't knock a simple bit of leather and some edged stones for a Sling. Been over 30 years now, but I remember a joint-training exercise and being in the host country where they performed some cultural history. This one guy demonstrated how 'back in the day' to cross 150 meters using either martial arts or opening the pouch on his belt, which was barely larger than two hands clasped together, and hitting targets with some damned good hits upwards of 40 meters.
I look forward to finding out what kind of a bad-ass your girl is.
